Fading Words

Fading Words is an interactive web piece that makes language like a living thing. Users can type any word or phrase, which crystallizes into pixel text. Pressing the mouse fractures the pixel grid, sending the letters into a fluid simulation. When the mouse is released, the entire animation begins to rewind. The website loops between expression and dissolution, between the clarity of typed words and the instability of their disappearance.
